When you graduate, jobs want experience. To get experience you need the job. You forgo getting a job by going to school. As reward for educating yourself a job should be waiting for you. At least that was my understanding
What is education to you? What does having a job mean? Is having an education the steps to a job, the door to a job or is it the legs that walk up the steps and into the door? Basically it is whatever you want it to be. Its a tool. Use it. Wield your diploma live a samurai sword if you have to. Nothing is ever waiting for us. After you graduate, you take that knowledge and skill and network and search everywhere for a position that can help you reach your goals. That position may or may not be in your major. Satisfying small goals one at a time help you to reach your ultimate goal, whatever that may be. Until you get there you have to eat, have a place to stay and save, save and save. Working towards being independent, without debts, should be an immediate goal. Often this means a whole lot of sacrificing and straight up doing without a lot of things you weren't able to have or do while getting that education. So you say, how long? The answer is as long as it takes. Why, because, no one wants an educated person laying up on them. And, we have discussed this before, you don't want to be that guy everybody talks about. That guy that don't have s#@!*. You have more confidence and feel good about yourself when you can take care of yourself.Another little tidbit for you. A man is not really a man when he can take care of himself. He is a man when he can not only take care of himself, but he can also take care of someone else. That can happen at anytime and you don't need an education for it either. So what can an educated man do?
Ok Mom i hear ya. If education allows you options, what do you do when there are none? Cayce had to travel over four states just get a data entry job. For how long is he suppose to work there until he's 30?
