Yankee Go Home!
This blog was inspired by tonight episode of Real Talk with Bill Mahr. The troops need to come home. Why are we there? That still has not been made clear since America arrived in the middle east. Are we really fighting terrorism? What are our soldiers dieing for? To me it sounds like we're over there fighting like in the Vietnam War. Fighting Communism that never happened. The troops need to come home and guard our borders from terrorism here, as well as domestic terrorism. Also I hate when we help other countries. We need to fix home first.

Education and Employment
These two things in the eyes of older Americans seem to go hand in hand. If you have a "good" education than it would lead to a "good" job or career. I was looking at Micheal Moore's Capitalism again the other day. When the boom happened after the war we were all making money and education didn't account for much because you could still live well. Years later however that all changed. I think about these two entities now because of not only my situation but everyone in our country. When your young your parents give the blue print to life. Finish school, get a job, get married, and then have kids. I finished school but there are no job for what I went to school for. I often wonder had I chosen a different major would i be working and enjoying my work. I get frustrated that some of the bosses that Ive had, had less education than I. I was never promoted to get there positions however. So does education trump experience? But experience is education, kind of a catch 22. Had I not gone to college maybe I would have a career by now as many former associates I know do. I honestly hope things do get better for us all and we can enter a new age of prosperity.
